My Story
My name is Denise Lightfoot, I am a Consultant Midwife with many years of midwifery experience. I am qualified in the Katherine Graves method of Hypnobirthing which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
I have worked in all aspects of maternity care and offer you support and guidance during the ‘Welcome Hypnobirthing’ groups and afterwards until your baby is born.

I am a qualified lactation consultant and will support you with beastfeeding for as long as you need me to.

My Training
Having been a midwife for over 30 years I was intrigued to know more about hypnobirthing so attended the KGHypnobirthing Teachers Course in London - and I am so glad I did. I learnt so much about the benefits to women of being fully informed and able to make choices that are right for them. I also heard about evidence to support using hypnobirthing techniques not only during labour, but before and after a baby is born too!

KG Hypnobirthing is simple, practical and highly effective; it's a complete antenatal education course, bringing together the physiology and psychology of birth. Knowing this will make a difference to your experience of giving birth to your baby, in the best possible way, that is right for you, however you give birth. The course will teach you relaxation techniques, pregnancy care, nutrition, and there is lots of other valuable information.
